who else has strep B? they are going to give me penacellin when I go into the hospital. I hope it works, I've been allergic to it since a child.

@angelao777, they do have other medicines to give, but penicillin is the best. I did have penicillin when I wasn't pregnant at one time, it didn't give me hives or anything.
I have it, they gave me meds last time I gave birth. I highly doubt they gave me penicillin though because I'm allergic to amoxicillin and every dr I've ever had says they won't use it if you have an allergy to any of the illin family. I'm sure there's an alternative, you don't want to chance an allergic reaction in delivery.
a friend of mine got Stevens Johnsons from taking penicillin when she was allergic to it, it almost killed her. the doctor said if she would have taken the last half of the dose she might not be here today..

yes. they said they believe that I grew out of it as an adult. I took an allergy test over 10 years and it only said I'm allergic to eggs. I eat eggs and get the flu shot
if you we're allergic as a kid don't try and take it now in case you have a major allegric reaction
