Maybe I made a mistake by watching that documentary on Netflix, some of that stuff is worrying 😓

That documentary is a little old and most hospitals don't practice any of that anymore... I work at a hospital and just had my baby at a hospital and it's amazing how much things have changed since they filmed that! I also had to be induced because I was having heart problems and it went just fine! Don't let that documentary bother you!

@brooker2004, yeah you can tell that the footage is a lower quality, I guess it was the way that the women were like "once you say yes to one thing it's a downward spiral they force on you" that kinda made me like 😨

Yah I get that for sure! But you could have a downward spiral from anything... I wouldn't have made it without my epidural! I was just given cytotec (I think) to help dilate my cervix 2 times and the rest my body did in its own! And the epidural didn't slow anything down! Got my epidural at 7pm and had her at 1:30am! Most hospitals hate doing c-sections and will only induce you now if it's medically necessary or you're 41-42 weeks and you want to be! Seriously don't stress about it! Everything will be great!

By the way... I was bawling because I had to be induced and that was mainly because of that stupid documentary scaring the crap out of me! But you can't plan what's going to happen and you just have to know you're going to be taken care of no matter what! My doctors and nurses were unbelievably amazing the entire time and I would do it all again in a heartbeat! ❤️

@brooker2004, thanks for giving me some peace of mind ☺ my doctor is super nice so I'm not worried about her but it won't necessarily be her that delivers my baby so I guess that's where it's making me nervous. They don't have you meet the other doctors or anything lol.

Yeah that's exactly how my hospital was... But the doctor came in after the baby crowned and was starting to come out and was literally there for maybe 10 minutes! The nurses are the miracle workers that do everything!!
