Do you think its too early for me to wash clothes and socks and things for the baby? Im not due until Sep 3rd. But my baby shower is coming up in 5 days and i dont want to wash a ton pf clothes all at once. But i have a ton to wash now? And also.. I use Gain laundry soap to wash my clothes.. Can i use that? Or does it have to be baby soap?

@paightonsmommy, I read you can wash baby clothes with your clothes in normal detergent, unless it turns out baby has sensitive skin, then you'll have to use baby detergent.

I waited to wash mine until now, I'm 36 weeks just bc I want him as fresh as possible, I also used dreft baby detergent it smells amazing and is for sensitive skin

@paightonsmommy, I just purchased all free and clear because of the perfumes and dye in normal detergents and didn't want to risk it. For me I just sorted everything into sizes and seasons and washed the week before because I wanted to return anything I didn't use but if you don't plan on returning anything then I would think it is fine

Well the things i have now are all hamy downs so i cant return them they were used. Thats why i wanted to wash them

I've washed Jaci's clothes a few times. Lol you're gonna hit that nesting stage right before she comes, and want your babies clothes super freshly cleaned again like I did I bet!
