Just had my visit from the health visitor. It was just a meet and greet really. She discussed the service they provide, how it would work once baby is born, where they are based etc. She also talked through pretty standard stuff like safer sleeping and feeding, and gave me some info on local groups that are on once baby is born. Apparently they also now have to look at where the baby will be sleeping once here so she had a nosey at my crib. Aside from the usual 'how is ur mental health?' and 'any DV?' that was it.

My family nurse is also my HV :) She knows I share my bed with my daughter :) she says I should try and get her to sleep on her own :) Which i've tried :) So I'm going to get a cot bed soon and have it next to my bed and use it like a cosleeper :)....she also said I could give Maya some rice or porridge if I wanted :) Which goes against what most health professionals say :) I had about 6 midwives during my pregnancy and they all had their own opinions and facts on things :) xx

Hi I just had my first visit also, all the same apart from they didn't look to see where he was going to sleep or anything? Not sure about that??? X

they said they usually do it when they're born as there's a bit to tick in the red book @kellym but I was like 'oohhhhh come and look now' hahaha
