Mommas who are due or have given birth in the summer: what was your baby's coming home outfit? I'm due in the middle of July, and that's one of the hottest months of the year here in TN. I'm conflicted about what I should put her in to bring her home. It gets so humid and hot here...I don't want her to overheat!

If your car to go home is air conditioned, i think a onesie, hat, and a light blanket would be ok

@arivera64 could I still put scratch mittens on her, or will she be too hot?? It's only a 10 minute drive from the hospital but even just walking from the building to the car is bad enough to make you sweat.

You should be fine I had my second daughter in June and I'm due again in June and im dressing her in a onesie with pants, socks, mittens, and a hat! Plus a blanket. We always have the car cold we live a hour and half away from the hospital. Plus they won't let you walk to your car they will get whoever is driving you home pull in the pick up area.

I dressed mine that was born in July in Tennessee in an outfit that was long sleeves and pants. Newborns can't regulated their body temp and are used to being in 98.6. But if your concerned about it being to hot just go for shorts and a blanket:)

My daughter was born the beginning of August, we put her in a sun dress and covered her up with a thin blanket.
