I love that you got purple for your son! I did the same thing for my oldest son. I don't like the gender stereotypes. Shoot my son is almost 7 and his favorite color is pink, and he loves to wear his pink clothes and Cletes. I have taught him that colors are not based on gender. He is proud to show who he is :)

@javies.mami you rock momma! I wish there was more people who were like that. My boys and daughter will always know that they are not defined by a color or a stereotype but for who they are. Shoot I haven't bought a lot of pink stuff for my daughter either. Her carseat and stroller and pack and play are all blue and her swing and bouncer are all gender neutral.

@javies.mami Right! You don't make them gay by letting or supporting them wearing colors or playing with dolls. Shoot my boys love painting their nails and gelling their hair and if I let them put on some foundation. Kids will be kids. They do not have to have only boy or only girl things to be happy. And shoot my boys love sports and fishing and boy things just as much as they do anything else. If our kids wind up gay, then so be it. We just love and support them no matter what!

Lol.. a color is a until you give it symbolism... it's grape street crips that rep purple.. so it has nothing to do with color, more so of the influences you allow to be in your child's life..

@javies.mami :) here is a pic of my oldest son with his pink and green Cletes and purple shorts. He picks for himself. He has even stood up to kids in school for telling him pink and purple are girl colors. He still wears what he wants lol.
