Now I know why Tinley was so cranky this morning. This is from both boobs. ;(. She did fine in the hospital and seemed to be getting full. Hopefully if I keep pumping I'll be able to breastfeed.

hey, don't sweat it yet! my milk came in the same day I called a lactation consultant! and sometimes women can't pump the same way they are able to breastfeed, I know my mom couldn't pump anything.

She seemed to do so fine in the hospital, but this morning when I fed her she still seemed so hungry. I put her on the other boob and when I got back up my shirt was getting soaked so I figured she was getting enough, but I gave her 2oz of formula and she seems to do better and feel better. She has slept so good since I have it to her. I'm hoping if I keep pumping every little bit and let her nurse from me throughout the day and night that it'll come in better and quicker. It's heartbreaking not being able to breastfeed right now. @madibug96

their little bellies are only the size of a small marbles at first. your milk will come in full on very soon! just keep nursing

I wouldn't feel the need to supplement with formula yet. they're just going to need to eat often and they'll be fine. they're made to live off the colustrom until you're milk comes in. I wouldn't actually pump either. just right before you're about to have her larch use your pump to get your nipple out and milk flowing already then latch her on. it's gonna be stressful. I cried a lot and got really stressed and upset

Babies get much more out then a pump does so keep feeding her on your boob and the pumping will get better.
