Really need to vent... we get my step daughter week on week off.. I love her like my own. But my husband gives her special treatment the whole time she is here and is so strict with our son. He yells at our son for the same things and leaves him crying yet it's okay for her to do them. Ive tried explaining to him that it's not right to treat them different like that but he freaks out every time I bring it up. So sick of him putting our son in tears for the same damn thing..

@naty199613, I feel like they should all have the same rules. i dont want to have to explain to my son why his dad loves his sister more than him.

I feel like dads or just some parents in general treat their sons different from their daughters. I'll know first hand in a couple of months, I suppose and can let ya know lol.

Oh my! That's not fair. I would certainly have a conversation about that. That's unfair and quite frankly harmful to the child; I'm sure he notices that ☹️

That's sad, and he sounds a lot like my husband who wouldn't care if it bothers you cuz he thinks he's always right :-\ I wonder if he has some guilt because of the fact his daughter has to go back and forth and is worried if he disciplines her she'll not want to continue to come every other week??? it sounds like that might be the case even though he'll probably never admit to it.
