Feeling so down..today is my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary and tomorrow the family is going…

I also have a women who causes problems in my family who is my aunty. I avoid her like the plague. She makes it easier as she doesn't bother with my gran and Grandad even though they are unwell. She's a selfish cow. Anyhoo, I would do what you like and not let her stop you. You can't exclude yourself from family events because of one person. Just ignore her and her attitude. Xx

sounds exactly like this bitch @stacey804 she isn't biologically their daughter, they adopted her when she was 2 and gave her an amazing life but she never phones or visits them even though they are both unwell, she's going to the meal tomorrow but that'll be the first time she's seen them since way before Christmas..a few years ago she physically started pushing my grandad around and really hurt him and the way she treats them is disgusting..therefore when something happened a few years ago I told her some home truths and she didn't like it so it all stemmed from there. Also with my hormones if she starts something I'm not gonna sit and just take it haha!! Will have to have a think about it xxx

Yeah families are a nightmare. She never wanted her son so my mam brought him up but she would ring the police and say she had kidnapped him. It's hard work knowing what's best to do in that situation xxx

I would turn up there all shining from happiness. Let her see how happy ur having a child and if she did open up her mouth ignore it because it just abother hater and Haters always gona hate remember that!!! so stick ut middle finger up and smile xxxxxxx

@myfirstbaby2016, I've decided to go just for that reason...she's very competitive and always wanted her kids to have the first great grandkids so I'm gonna go in there and tell her I'm pregnant just to see the look on her face haha!! she's always been terribly competitive, she would always ask me and my younger brother what we asked 'santa' for christmas so she could get the same for her kids, eventually got to the point where we would tell her things that we didn't even want and then on christmas day she wouldn't be pleased..was hilarious!xxxxxx

It's the sis in law for me really can't get on and she lives next door me and my husband don't speak to them but they do everything they can to irritate us even when we where speaking we couldn't see eye to eye she's done some pretty nasty things to me too and I avoid her if I can but wouldn't let her stop me going to something that important as you never no what's round the corner xx

@tresea, that's exactly why I feel like I would regret it..I don't wanna be older when my grandparents are gone and think "I should have just went to that meal" so I'm going, if the idiot starts anything I will just put her in her place but I'm not gonna let her stop me from doing things :) xxx
