Mommas!!!! Have any of you had a constipated newborn? My baby is only a week old and having trouble passing poop. I had to start him on formula for 2 days and he just got back on breast milk today. We are mixing breast milk with formula since I can't produce enough right now to fill him up

my oldest was a week old when I had to give her her first enema. she had bowel problems up until she was around 3 years old and was on a high fiber diet. she couldn't tolerate any formula at all so I had her on goats milk at 5 months and then switched to regular soy milk at 7 months. she also developed hemorrhoids by the time she was a month old. that's why this time if I can't breastfeed I won't be using any formula just goats milk. but like @rainbowbaby2015 said when they are pooping take their diaper down and push their legs up. @mbmccrory
I thought the same thing because my daughter was about a week old when she started having trouble pooping. The doctors said that when your baby goes to push like their pooping take their knees to their chest and push a little to help build their belly muscles. They also said its normal for babies to poop once a day or even once a week! That's crazy thinking if we didn't poop for a week it would hurt so bad
He finally passed one this morning! I was rubbing his tummy and moving his legs all night. Thank you ladies @jazzy1221 @rainbowbaby2015
