Do you and the father of your child/children have a birth certificate and social for the child/children? Or do you just have the one copy?

to be added to the health insurance, you have to provide the birth cert. to the human resource benefit department, they will take social first since its the first thing received, but then they ask for a copy of the bc
Other than that you don't need to have the originals. A copy is good enough. @1sttimemommy0516
@kirklandj, ohhhh. Good question. I know for my SO to add her to his benefits he needed her SSN. He just asked for the number, he didn't want a copy. Maybe he needs some type of proof for something. I would ask him what he needs it for
I have just the originals, just cause we didn't want to pay for extras, but when the time comes it'll be there's

I have the originals but you can always order copies if you both want a copy
Have you asked what he needed them for? I can only think of Health Insurance and or end of the year taxes.
