*Having an emotional day*
So I've only be on maternity leave for a WEEK and I'm due In 3 weeks, but my bf is already acting like I'm so lazy and I don't contribute. Before I was this far along I cleaned, made dinner, and worked full time( paid half the bills). His grandpa got sick yesterday and I said we need to visit him soon. (My dad died unexpectedly) I didn't want him to go through the same thing. My bf told me I don't know how you do it and stay strong about your dad dying. I said because I have you as long as I have you I feel better and he said straight faced "because I'm your pay check" this hurt my feelings so much. I feel like if he thinks this way we won't work out. It's crushing me today. Am I just hormonal or would this upset you?

It's really kinda harsh. He shouldn't be saying that. Plus your job is holding your position for you. Or at least they should be. You could go on disability maybe? I know that they pay you what you WERE making. Or at least something. Then he can't say anything because you're disabled for a while.

@kayleeburton, yeah it really hurts. I just went on leave. Like what the hell! He knows I'm upset about not helping with bills. So it's like he was purposefully trying to hurt me. If this is how it's going to be I want to move out. I don't want to be depressed everyday bc I'll be upset about him feeling like I'm a piece of shit.

You most definitely should not have to put up with that and your baby feels when momma is sad too. I hate being sad and crying but my baby starts kicking me and it makes me stop. Your man needs to understand though that it's not your fault your not working.

Yes @mybabyloves and he acted as if everything was good and he was the one that told me to go on leave at this time.

@kayleeburton, I'm trying my best to just look past the comment and not be upset. But idk it still hurts. I'm keeping my mind busy so I don't think about it. I feel bad but when he gets home I'm going to discuss it with him. I can't deal with feeling like he feels that way about me.

@mybabyloves, yeah he also just got a bonus check of 2000. A couple days Ago and gets paid every week.

that's awesome that he got a bonus check. I just asked because there's no way I would be able to go on maternity leave that early, I am waiting until I go into labor to stop working because we can't afford for me to take off more than 4 weeks
