So my ob prescribed me " Flagyl" for a bacterial infection, but the pharmacy told me that it is not recommended for pregnancy? Why the hell did he prescribe it to me then? Please someone tell me they taken it during early pregnancy and everything turned out good?

They gave me antibiotics I was pregnant & didn't know it at that time

You could call your doctor back and ask for the vaginal gel instead. You insert it for 5 days kind of like monistat.

thanks @cubanese I am worried to take it bc I am very early and also.bc my daughter was born with chromosome abnormalities and I am high risk I don't need to take any more risks. I am going to call and ask for the gel instead thank you @boymomplusagirl

My OB would never prescribed me the pill, she said I could only do the inserts. She never discussed why tho only that it is what I have to take because I'm pregnant. I never looked into it. I would call your doctor and ask and discuss using the inserts.

I did they refused to give them to me so now I am switching doctors monday morning! and then getting my new doctor to give me the inserts! @sweetpea_nut but until then I am worried this infection may cause miscarriage, I hope this is not what caused my last one. :(

I'll be praying for you but I don't believe it should cause any harm. Don't stress too much! I know easier said than done but stay calm as much as you can.
