I don't think there is a right time, if baby is 6 months old and you still don't want to leave then that's fine :)

I had to let my fiancés mum take my daughter for a few hours last Friday when she was only 16 days old because I was so exhausted being up with her all night with colic for over a week, I cried and missed her the whole time and couldn't sleep while she was away, can't win lol

Yeah I don't think there's a right time either. Mostly when u are ready an think yeah I can leave her few hours she will be fine.
