I'm emotionally detached somewhere & it's not because I don't care. I could see a homeless guy on the street & feel sorry for them so I give them money but if someone I know dies it's just nothing. I hate it I hope having a child changes that.

I never know what to say either in those situations. It seems heartless and I want to show more empathy but I just never know the right thing to say. I also prefer not to be fake either because I feel like people can tell.

@angelfish, exactly l hate to come off that way because that's not who I am. All I can think about is what if it doesn't change.. How am I going to console my child when she needs it

I'm the same way.. I don't feel emotion for some reason, and I pray having my daughter will change that.
