they need to think safety of the baby. u are the mother and he should get it if he is coming..... u wanted your sister in the delivery room too? they let u have that many people in there?

it was just going to be my boyfriend and her in there with me. normally they will at least allow 2. my mom couldn't come so I invited her to be there. she seems like she got really upset and she told me that it's crazy for me to even ask him to get it... and that he hates shots.. ugh. @babytj0214

exactly. I couldn't get that point across to her apparently. her other excuse was that they can't afford it.. earlier tonight she literally bought him a computer monitor though so I see where I stand and what's more important. @babytj0214

I'm over 35 weeks now, due July 4th. I'm very excited. wish things could happen differently so my sister could be up here but I gotta put my babies health first. that's most important to me. I'm feeling okay other than some nausea and vomiting again, but it's starting to ease off some. how much longer for you? @babytj0214

@jessicarose0602, omg I'm 35weeks hehe..... having section on the 29th :) I have been sick for 3 days. I got better yesterday but now I'm coughing.... I do not want to get my toddler sick :( y r u up? I woke up thinking I should start putting the nursery together cuz I really haven't done anything. I don't even have my baby's bag packed.... my 1st one I was ready like 2 months ahead..... hmm.....

I don't have any of my bags packed yet!! I need to get the ball rolling so to speak but I just can't get motivated it seems like. I'm up because my boyfriend works nights and I sleep during the day with him. I'll have to get off that schedule soon but it just seems easier for now, lol. I've gotten stuff done in her nursery but I have yet to buy the sheets and bumper for her crib, musical mobile, and other small things. ugh. @babytj0214

@jessicarose0602, my husband wanted to wait after the baby is born to buy anything because we may never know what people might buy us or give us.... I'm like ur crazy.... and he bought 6batman onesies when we went to the store lol

lol aww. that's cute. :) my boyfriend will pick up random things sometimes and he told his mom the other day that we don't need anymore clothes for her.. she seriously has enough and his mom got offended!!! 😅😅 @babytj0214 a lot of the stuff we have that's bigger items is what we bought. I think the biggest item I got at my baby shower was a bath tub for my daughter and the diaper bag, and the diaper bag came from one of my sisters. @babytj0214

I got it, I almost died as a baby from whooping cough, I couldn't go through that with my baby.

@babykinzliee2k16 reading up more on it online has me scared to death. not only were my sister and her boyfriend going to be at the hospital, but at my apartment too. I couldn't risk it! if something happened to my daughter because I didn't speak up I'd never forgive myself.

Exactly, My husband is getting it.. I don't see anything wrong with telling them they should get it. they should be ok with it since that is your daughter and how would they feel if she did get anything because they didn't get the shot?

exactly!! I told my boyfriend that if they can't see where I'm coming from and can't get the shot then I can't allow them around her. it's for her safety. my mom agrees and even told me that I have to speak up for my daughter because she is too young to speak up for herself. my boyfriend is making his parents even get the shot. @babykinzliee2k16

You can't "make" anyone get the shot. If they choose not to get the shot, then don't have them around, simple as that. Some people won't know how serious it is until they're in the situation.

my boyfriend told his parents they needed to, simply because if they didnt, they would forfeit their right to see our daughter. it's what's best for her health wise. I try telling this to my sister too but what it comes down to is her husband doesn't want to man up and get it because he hates needles. I honestly thought it would be more important to them than this, but I'm gonna stand my ground. if they won't get it, that's their choice. but ultimately who sees our daughter is mine and my boyfriends choice. @jrsmommy312

Exactly so after the baby gets his shots then they can see the baby. People won't take it as serious as we would. If it's only you and daddy in the delivery room so be it.

that's how it's starting to look too, that it will just be me and her daddy, but I'm perfectly fine with that. @jrsmommy312

I believe that's the best way to do it. That way after the baby is born you two can spend quality time together, instead of having others hover around. Trust me it's better that way. It was just me and my boyfriend and I wouldn't of had any other way.

I told him to even allow us to have our own space when it comes to his parents too. I don't think we are going to tell them when we go to the hospital.. only because I want that bonding time. it's their first grandchild but they will be able to see her once we are home and settled. @jrsmommy312
