i need to rant. this might sound selfish but whatever im pissed off. my mom and i have a very strong relationship, however we butt heads daily. today i asked her for help on what to get for groceries for something new... she goes into a rant how my nieces are coming over and she bought $300 worth of food for them and how her fridge is full (bragging) she knows i have $2 in my account right now and don't get paid until Friday & keeps going on about how she's spoiling them. a few weeks ago i asked her help to get food & all she did was get me bread & milk which i am very grateful for but it just hurts that she brags and makes me feel bad all the time & never realizes it. i also asked her randomly if she could make me this desert thing, she never did which is whatever. i live in a diff town anyways but then asked my 12 year old niece what she wants to eat, and made all of it for her.
im very independent but it just irritates me how she acts and reacts to things.

I know what you mean. My mum acts weird towards me too. and does exactly the same as what your mum is doing. im independent as well. more than my sisters. I mean her and my dad are paying for all 4 of my sisters mortgages and im here paying my own. my mum says snarky things to me when im having a rough day or need some sort of help. sometimes i feel like she likes when im struggling with something. but i brush it off like its nothing. You're not being selfish. it would be nice if our mums would just lay off for a second. and being pregnant means we notice the little things more . Chin up girl mums can be weird .xx
