So I got a text today from my dad saying he wasn't going to be able to make it to my baby shower in a few months. I've been talking about it with him since I told him I was pregnant. When I asked him why he couldn't make it he said he has tickets to a music festival that he got before I was pregnant. But never once brought that up in our many phone conversations especially when we would talk about the showers and when it was going to be. So I think he bought the tix just recently and is trying to cover it up. BTW Our baby shower is going to be co-ed and mostly family oriented and basically just a BBQ party celebration welcoming our new baby! Not a super girly one that men don't want to come to ya know. But I was and am very hurt when he told me why he wasn't coming. Literally all my family will be there except him. I moved about a year ago from where my family is from so everyone is going out of their way to make it up here, taking time off work ect. And my dad is retired and won't be there, it's driving me nuts!! Not to mention I haven't seen him in a year! I'm so sad and disappointed. At least my father in law will be there who is most definitely going to be a better grandpa anyway! Sorry just needed to vent!! 😔
