All that I have read was that its mostly heredity, but the oils and lotions do help the severity if you happen to get them. I haven't gotten them after my daughter, hope I don't with this one either. I did however get a few on my butt and boobs while pregnany with her but they pretty much vanished with time. Its a blessing girls no worries. Just all natural and beautiful!

@psollozo try like a medical store cvs or Walgreens might have it rub it on your belly everyday after you shower just a quarter size and you should be fine
