Advice needed!!
I currently pay 50% of my health insurance through my work, I get 12 weeks UNPAID maternity leave and while I am on leave for the first month my work will pay 50% like they do now but for the rest of it I am responsible for 100% of it. Has anyone gone through the same thing? My full insurance now is about $500, plus adding the baby it will be more. 😩

according to the US Dept of Labor employers are required to maintain your insurance coverage on the same terms as is if you are working. 12 weeks unpaid time off falls under FMLA and those are the rules. When I was out on leave my coverage continued just the same way. You can send them your 50% when due or make arrangements to take it out of your check when you get back.
