you just drink this sugary drink and in a hour they draw blood. It's to make sure you don't have GD it's not that bad

it's a test to check if you have diabities.. they usually like to do it before your 27 weeks.. you do have to get blood drawn but you have to drink this sugary drink they give you wait an hour and then they take some of your blood... if you pass it your all good but if it fails you have to do a 3 hour test @momaaliloo

Glucose is your sugar level. It's to test for gestational diabetes , your body works so hard while prego that sometimes it can't keep up and you can develop diabetes but usually it only lasts during the pregnancy and goes away after delivery. There's a 1hr test and a 3 hr test. Your dr usually will have you take the 1 hr and only the 3 hr if results are inconclusive for the 1hr. They take ur blood before hand, have u drink a sugary drink and an hr later they take ur blood again. If ur levels are too high that could mean u have gestational diabetes, but not always . Try to avoid sugary foods/ drinks beforehand as they can mess with the test but ask ur dr about it as some may ask u to fast before. :)
