Can some one provide me with the list of what to pack for the hospital bag please.

honestly, all I needed was extra clothes for myself and my daughter's going home outfit. everything else was provided for me! you might want to bring soap and stuff because my hospital didn't have any. I was discharged the next day.

For you:

2 front-opening nightgowns for breastfeeding

A few pairs of comfortable underwear

Heavy duty sanitary pads

A shawl or bathrobe

Slippers or flip-flops

A pair of warm socks

Breast pads, lanolin cream (for tender nipples), and nursing bras

A feeding cover (if you are expecting visitors)

Your phone and charger

Toiletries and cosmetics

Lip balm

Comfortable outfit to wear home

Body lotion or massage oil

Hospital file/notes

Birth plan (if you have one)

For your baby:

3 full-body bodysuits that fasten up the front

Socks, mittens, and hat

Going-home outfit, including a hat and blanket

About 20 to 30 diapers made especially for newborns, like Pampers Swaddlers

Baby wipes

Car seat already installed in car

For your partner:

Snacks

Phone and charger

A change of clothing and toiletries

Camera and charger

exactly what @ngujen said. and if you're going to breastfeed, they have all the stuff there too, the front gown, cream, nipple shield, manual pump,ect. other then that, they already have everything for you and baby, just need going home clothes for you two and shower stuff.

@kelseys yeah my hospital provided diapers, wipes, nipple cream, socks, and let me take everything home and gave me some extra!

@ngujen, yea they usually give a baby bag too, and let you take the stuff home. well she's.from Chicago so I can answer her questions if she's going to St.Anthony's, MacNeal or Loyola hospital and what they have.
