I'm so blessed that my daughter has a great father that I know regardless of anything he will be there for her. Both financially and physically. I was raised by a single mother and she did an amazing job. And I owe her the world for everything she's done and still does. I always had food in my belly & clothes on my back. But still at the age of 24 I'm resentful to my father for failing me. I needed him way more then he thought. I feel kids need both parents equally and I'm just so happy my daughter will never have to go through what I did.

That's exactly how I feel. I am also a child of a single mother. I feel extremely grateful that although me and my SO don't have the smoothest relationship that he is a wonderful father to his son and he will be to his daughter. It's such a relief to know that no matter what he will be there for her

@bria, we are blessed. And my dad wasn't shit but never not once did my mother bad mouth him to me & that taught me so much.

Yeah we are! My mom was the same way, she really tried but he never wanted to be around me (or any of the other children he had w other women) she used to go out of her way to make it so easy for him and he still wouldn't show up and my mom used to cry cuz I was like 4-5 waiting by the window all day for him to come. He never did not even once. I thank god every day my daughter will never go through that !
