These progesterone shots are killing me, they are marking my skin it looks bad and ny thighs are itching like crazy…

I just took my 5th shot and the past two shots I received swelled up and became very itchy. I've been told it's normal. It's annoying though

@amaperalta03, yeah I had my sixth one last Saturday and my thighs are bruised around the spot they put them in and they itch like crazy, they're also mad red.

You get your shots on your thigh?

I do my shots in the muscle of my butt. It stings and is sore for a bit if I push it in too fast, but I haven't swelled or anything. Thankfully I only have 2 shots left! 18 down 2 to go!

@boymomplusagirl I go to my OB and they always put them on my thighs. So far they did six and I have like 15 more to go 😓

@karennn maybe ask them to do them somewhere else next time. I do them myself, because my doctor is an hour away and I didn't want to make an extra trip every week to do it. They taught me to just inject it into the muscle of my butt, and I know if it gets injected too fast, it hurts. The progesterone oil can be kinda thick if it is cool, so you could ask them to go a little slower as well. It's no fun, however a healthy baby will be worth it in the end!

@boymomplusagirl, they probably prefer doing them since I live close to the office. But I will definitely ask to do them some where else next Saturday, I don't want to walk around with messed up looking thighs
