Ok so I stopped breastfeeding like 2 weeks ago so I smoked with my boyfriend and our friend (away from the baby ofc.) the last time was the 25th but I want to start it up again because I miss it so much😭 Will a few weeks be enough time? Like I'm gonna start pumping and dumping to get my supply up and everything. Do you think she'll remember how? Aaron looked it up and it said it takes 3 weeks to get out of your system.

You're fine. Just don't do it often or in large amounts and your milk will be okay.

Okay, so how much did you smoke? Was it just once? All day? Etc? If you want to start breastfeeding again, most likely it will be fine. You need to get her back on your nipple ASAP unless you're going to just pump. To be completely honest, I've taken a single hit twice and I still breastfed as normal. My son is eating foods now as well. There is a small amount of THC in Breastmilk but people drink alcohol and can breastfeed with that in the milk.

And also cps would be called even if it's decriminalized because it's considered endangerment to a child

It's only decriminalized if you have less than an ounce, it's the same way here and in Louisiana, but I still wouldn't risk it, or even allow it in the house, if a neighbor smells it and gets nosey and calls the cops you could still get into trouble, I was a huge smoker before my son and I would totally smoke again if it was legal but being its not it would never really be worth it and I'd never feel safe 😕

@mommytoprinceaiden092915, it's decriminalized here and once it's out of my system It becomes safe for her to breastfeed again so I'm not risking it and waiting. I just didn't know how long. Or if after 2 months she'll not remember

Honestly if your in a state where it's illegal I wouldn't risk it, on the chance you did get caught your child would be taken away, and personally I smoked before I got pregnant and quit as soon as I found out and haven't smoked for a year and a half because it's illegal here in Texas and I'm not willing to risk my son over some weed

@lp1988727, that's why I'm waiting and I stopped? I'm just trying to get my supply back up and trying to figure out when it's safe to start again. Not being selfish.
