I don't think you have to. Glucose is in more than just sweets. It's actually not in sweets much. Lol just keep up with your normal diet.

You don't have to. Just try not to eat a lot of sugar the day before . Keep with your normal diet otherwise .And try and get the orange flavored drink!! It tastes like orange soda!

I wasn't given any instructions so I ate as normal. I went in, and they asked if i had Fast the night before. I told them no because I wasn't given any instructions. So they ended up rescheduling me. So I could fast 24hrs before my glucose test.

I wouldn't eat a ton of sugar the day before. But research glucose. People don't understand what the hell it is. I would just look into it. I just didn't eat anything super sugary or carb heavy the day before but other than that I ate what I normally eat. I am a healthy eater but I have treats too.

It depends on the test your doctor wants. It used to be nothing after midnight before your test. Some are now doing it without fasting..... However if they want a fasting one carbs are what raise your glucose. Anything you eat will raise it. However sugar will greatly and temporarily increase it, toothpaste will, orange juice, and pastas and breads. Grains will raise it and keep it higher for longer because your body takes longer to process them. That's why you have pasta feeds before big games and such. Most other sugars will quickly pass after a few hours. I would check and see what test your doctor wants done first. Because they're going to give you the highly sugar drink before the test. If you're allowed to eat before eat something with protein like eggs, peanut butter, jerky, ect.... If you can't bring something like that with you so after you can eat.
