Yes a grow spurt at that age also that's how baby and breast work together to build your supply, the more you bring baby to breast, the more you produce. Always remember the rule to see if baby is getting enough with breastfeeding is how many wet and dirty diapers they make.

I never breast fed but that's hiw y son ate as well he's 5 weeks now and eats about 4-6oz every 2-3 hours and he poops n pee's regular so I think that's good my Dr said feed him when he's hungry and I was doing that anyway lol

He'll be a month on Saturday. He ate a lot at birth but that was with supplementing formula. Now it's just breast milk.. @babyjjsmommy @katarama

How old? Mine will be 4 months the 4th and he's been doing the same. He's never ate less than 2-3 hours apart by he's even waking up about every hour hour and a half at night to eat.

newborns go through growth spurts every couple of weeks so it could be that. newborns also just eat a lot. my niece is 2 weeks old and she eats 6oz at a time and has since she was born.
