I haven't had to deal with that yet, but I honestly wouldn't take kept advice from my MIL... she isn't very educated (not to be mean) and I know you can't research everything when it comes to raising an infant but there's a lot you can prepare for and I feel I'm very prepared and know what's best for my child, I'm sure you do too.

be prepared for more of it, it's gonna be a pain in the ass. I keep thinking about it myself. I just know people are gonna piss me off trying to tell me what to do. unless I ask for ya help please keep ya helpful ass over there!

I've co slept the entire 6 weeks! Do what you feel comfortable about. Don't let other people try to parent for you. Or get in your head. It can be unsafe but I feel better knowing I can control her face position in my bed next to Me more than in her crib a room away from me.

@sarinunez, thank you exactly not to mention I helped my mom raise my 2 sisters when I was 11 and 12 years old with a newborn and toddler in the bed with me while my mom worked overnights. They turned out fine I'm an adult now and my mom is so confident that I'm going to do a great job.

You're welcome and same here! I'm the eldest of 6 kids and I've been a nanny for the past 4 years.

My mom tells me she's not allowing my baby to sleep on the bed with me and it annoys me because it's my baby though I don't plan on having her sleep with me because I am a wild sleeper but still just the thought of knowing she's gonna try to control my parenting annoys me 😭 I love her though lol

@beautyoflife, I'm afraid I will get so much more of it even after the baby gets here but I'm afraid to get rude with her because she is really sweet and I would probably hurt her feelings. We will see how much of it I can take.

@brittanycheri, aww how sweet. I'm glad you believe in co-sleeping. I feel like as a mom your aware of your baby's every move. The only stories I hear about co-sleeping gone wrong is when the parent is neglectful, intoxicated or on drugs. Or the baby is with a family member under the influence.

@kamilasmama, it's about your own judgement. Is good that as a mom of your not comfortable with something you don't have to do it. You don't need no one telling you what to do with your child. Just like I fill I have my child best interest in mind.

Or alone. My HS buddy's daughter died of SIDS but she was along in her room and rolled over.. Parents were sleeping in their room. My daughter rolled to her belly one night. I woke up instantly when I heard her make sudden movements and muffled coos. @desi720

yes because if I've learned anything, letting stuff build just makes me explode and say the worst possible things. sometimes you just can't take that stuff back.

Yea they say that can cause SIDS but I feel for me I sleep lighter and listen better when she is next to me. I also miss her too much.
