I didn't wash my son's clothes because they're new and I don't even think he will get to wear half…

i did. like twice. i didn't want the dyes to affect her. and Lord knows who had touched them.

new clothes should be washed , fyi...there are actually chemicals put in and on the new clothes that can cause severe allergic reactions in some babies. Also, the germs that could be present on them when you buy them...it makes me want to shudder

You still should, if it was in a store it's been touched by many hands and if you got it online it came from a factory which isn't the cleanest place, lots of dust and god knows what else...

you don't have to wash the baby's clothes.. yes they probably have been touched by so many people but your baby's skin may not be so sensitive. plus if you don't wash the new ones you can always keep the tags on and exchange them for a different size if you need too

@sarahemccormick, its a million ppl around the world that don't wash the baby's clothes and they turn out perfectly fine unless he breaks out I'm not washing them👍

I've seen people drop baby clothes in the store and then other people walk over them and then hang them back up.

@sarinunez, I don't know one person that has washed their baby's clothes and I don't know what he can fit or can't so I'll wait if he does not break out I'm not going to worry about it

my son is a few days 5 days old and I have put all new clothes on him and he is perfectly fine

Yeah but people's hands touch all on them and there prone to get sick that young!! But that's your baby lol. I wash his and he didn't wear half of them either but they were fresh and cleaned with baby detergent! And I've seen clothes thrown on the floor and stuff the dust! No ma'am me and my hubby washed our sons. It's up to you though!

My son had a lot of newborn clothes to, well we organic and stuff over here my son skin safety is important! Lol

@chantebrandon, lol I just did everything cotton and lots of white onesies his stuff was not cheap that's why if it needs to be exchanged I can he is a big baby probably gonna be around 9 pounds
