What's the best formula to switch a baby to from breastmilk? And can I just start giving him formula or do I need to mix it with breast milk first? I'm asking because I've been struggling with producing enough now and I'm tired of not being able to enjoy momhood because I'm upset over my breastmilk struggle...

I was the same way. Actually cried about it to a few doctors. They told me to give her Similac Advance and to try an ounce if she eats it and wants more feed her another ounce until she's full. That's how I switched my daughter from breast to formula.

the hospital gives my son Enfamil and the did evey other feed and the next day they just did all his food formula I just stopped producing

@auburnmom2, Rocky eats about 2 1/2 ounces each feeding and I'm barely making two ounces each pump.

@rockysmommy, what you pump is not what's all in there mama. for some reason I can't pump more than a few oz. my baby is 6 months and 20lbs. I know he's drinking more than a few oz. lol as newborns breastfeeding they will eat constantly. if you have to swith to formula it's ok but if you don't want to message me and I'll help you get through it.♡
