My heart goes out to the mommy's just starting their breastfeeding journey and going through all of the pain that comes with it, but I will tell you it gets better! I went through thrush and mastitis 2x each and even had to exclusively pump and feed for a month because it was so excruciatingly painful to nurse. Now it's like second nature, and has been for months. I'm so glad I stuck with it. Just keep in mind, the struggle is worth the reward of knowing your baby is getting exactly what they need from you!
