Do you burp a breastfed baby? Only reason I ask is because he never burps or spits up when I try to and I'll sit there for 20 mins trying to burp him.

i don't think so.. only if you give them the breastmilk from the bottle.. haven't breastfed yet, but Ive learn from my cousin who EBF 8.. she never burped them.. I only had to burp because they were getting a bottle from me

yea, I always burp him if I use a bottle and something always happens but he isn't getting any excess air from my boobs so I'm just stuck lol @lilfree16

lol i edited my comment lol but yeah imma ftm but Ive been around ebf babies.. my cousin never burped lol I had to becauee i gave them bottles..

I burp my son and he is EBF. Sometimes he would burp and sometimes he wouldn't.

I would burp him for about 5 mins till I stopped. My nurse told me to always try burping them.
