Thoughts on the Gorilla incident??? 😢😢😢😢😢 poor gorilla is now dead ..... It's really really sad.....…

if you seen the unedited videos of him dragging the boy through the water for quite a distance multiple times you may look at it different. 😞 the woman should have been watching her child better but if that was my child I'd want to shoot it too so it don't hurt my child.

I feel really bad about that poor gorilla I saw the video and allll this could have been avoided if the mother was more vigilant .... It's soooo sad .....

It could have all been avoided if the woman were watching her child. There is zero excuse for that child to have gotten that far without a parent seeing him. I want to believe they had a plethora of other options on how to deal with the gorilla, but I'm not an expert or even a novice so my opinion on that is irrelevant. Again, all could have been avoided.

I saw a video of something like this happening before and they didn't kill the gorilla @phinnybinz I think the gorilla was honestly trying to protect the child ... Siiigghhhh it's just sad

yeah.. if the gorilla was going to hurt the boy.. he would have.. i saw the unedited version.. and the gorilla was protecting the child and shielding him. I read an article that said they didn't use tranquilizers because it might harm the child.. soo I guess bullets are less of a risk.. parents should have been watching their child.

@stadhinavy, yeah, this is the 3rd time recently (in the past 20 years) this has happened. In both previous incidents the gorillas were not harmed. It also infuriates me that the woman released a statement "accidents happen" 😡😡

I think the parents def to blame for this absolutely should have been watching her child better especially in a zoo! However, if that was your child would you want to wait for a tranquilizer to kick in? Bc God forbid something happened to that child and they didn't shoot the gorilla. Then they'd be getting shit for that as well. The whole situation is a mess but they did what they had to to protect the child.

@lilfree16, what I read is that the tranquillisers would have taken "too long to take effect" and could "potentially cause the gorilla to become agitated and violent" 😞

oh .. @phinnybinz i didnt see thag.. i just read the title and was like huh.. lol but poor gorilla.. and shame on the parents... they should be fined or something..

@lilfree16, yeah, it's just a sad situation. I don't think "accidents happen" should be the only statement she makes. I realise we can't all watch our children 100% of the time. However, if I'm at the zoo, or any other place with a lot of people, I am hyper vigilant of my children. It's just the way most parents work naturally.

I also believe that the mother to blame!!! She was quiet negligent with the child in a zoo too..... Where there are wild animals. Also I read an article that said the boy told her before going in that he wanted to swim with the gorillas and she still wasn't vigilant in watching the child. It makes me really angry that this happened and I think she is to be blamed!!!!

I heard that the parents are having charges pressed against them for the incident
