This question is from a friend TTC:
I had an intercourse on may7th, may8th was my ovulation day. Since then i've been having pregnancy symptoms and i've tried taking many tests all of them were negative, my period is now 10 days late and i've been cramping for two weeks. I took an ovulation test today by mistake instead of a pregnancy one and it turned negative. I'm not ovulating and my pregnancy tests are all negative. What could cause my period to be late?

sometimes the hCG (which is the hormone produced by the placenta) are very low, and pregnancy test might not be able to detect it, she should go the doctor and let them know her symptoms, and to not have a No for an answer, some clinics or hospitals even, will just tell them to wait for their periods if they already took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. I would ask for a blood test

Oh I forgot to include that she got a blood test done a couple days ago and the hcg level was 2.2 @elismommy428. The doctor said to come back in a week and see if the level has gone up.

I would keep on going until I have an actual answer, if her period has never gotten this late, then there is definitely something going on there
