anybody else hear about this?! what are your thoughts. honestly, yes. the boy's parents are at fault but it was between the little boy's life or the gorillas. the gorilla could not be tranquilized because he was already agitated and it may not have worked right away or may have worsened the situation.. i think its hypocritical of people to start an uproar about the gorillas life when they eat meat, etc and don't ever once care that they're eating an animal that had to be killed too. also, if the gorilla was not shot and killed and the little boy was mauled, there would be an even bigger uproar & blame.

everyones hypocritical of everything. the animal is already in a zoo, in captivity. its already dead meat. good thing the boy was saved. hopefully this teaches people that animals are still wild.

@kambam, I agree... not saying the animal DESERVED to die, but its so unforunate the boy's parents were irresponsible! with that being said - the little boy did not deserve to die..

The gorilla is an endangered gorilla. It's irresponsible parenting. I don't blame the kid because he was only 4. But I watched the videos and the gorilla was being protective of him. Not attacking. He only had minor injuries and that's due to the fall into the enclosure. I think it's very sad. Gorilla wasn't to blame or the kid. Just irresponsible parents.

Really? From what I read the kid had already been in the water. He fell into the water when he fell in and the video I see him pull the kid towards him and stand over him. @mommytomia_

the fact people would video it and not help is beyond me... the mother honestly should be jumped down and threw up just my opinion though thats what parents do 😩 I HATE the gorilla was killed but the boy didn't deserve death either
