so I may have been continuing to clean the litterbox since I've been pregnant.... but my roommate didn't keep up with it like she said she would and I hate asking anyone to do it bc I know for me to do it it's a labor of love, but for anyone else it's just poop shoveling. but my boyfriend just found out what toxoplasmosis is and he's gonna take over. but it just sounds like one of those things like "if you eat raw cookie dough you'll get salmonella". like anyone can get toxoplasmosis. and I kinda felt like since I've been exposed to his poop for this long and haven't gotten it it's probably fine. plus he's an indoor cat, it's not like he's eating a bunch of rodents, which is how it gets in their poop to begin with. idk. maybe I was being ignorant, but it had to be done. but now my bf is taking over.

I cleaned ours on and off because I had to. I made sure it was ventilated and washed my hands.

@uhohitskyra im happy I'm not the only one lol. but yeah I always held my breath and washed my hands and face. it's not like I was just inhaling it, mostly bc uhhhh ewh?! lol

haha. I've always been told as long as you make sure you wash up stay ventilated it's okay. Obviously it's more like ingesting it (okay eww!) like everything just have to be careful. I'm so old school when it comes to my kiddos. I was never one of those up tight stick up my ass mom.

I dont think its a problem with indoor cats bc they dont eat rodents or any toxic animals. I still do mine when my boyfriend takes to long. I wear latex gloves and wash my hands each time.

@uhohitskyra right! like we are probably exposed to equally dangerous germs every time we use a public restroom. and litterbox cleaning has to be done. I'm just thankful my bf offered to take over until she's born!

@klj that's been my attitude towards it. and I always try to take as many sanitary measures as I can. but you know how it is, we can't just neglect our fur babies! lol I'm thankful we have boyfriends to help us
