My nicu mommy how do u show your other kids. There baby sister or brother when they are in the nicu. My step son is 9. And he dosnt know his sister is sick yet due to he doesn't live with us and I want to tell him in person but was it hard for. Your other kids to see their brother or sister that way. She not born yet we been in the hospital sicne 5/11/16 and not leave until she born and then she not leaves unilt she is. About a month old or more

Depends all my children were premmies in nicu. My oldest didn't understand when I had my 25 weeker in 2013. But he understood more with my 1 year old son William.

we didn't tell my 3y/o step son we just brought him up there... he was waiting on her the whole time I was pregnant so he was really excited at first.. then he got said because he said his sister was sick but after we got to touch her and see her out of the incubator he was fine.. and excited.
