Breastfeeding mommas..... How long did it take for your nipples to "tough up," my poor girls are so tender and sore!!!
@heidi3581, Yes. My aunts and mom all told me about the scrubbing process. It keeps them from being so tender all the time. But the lactation nurses at the hospital with my first born are the ones who told me the milk was better than the creams. It's not only healthier for baby, but it has antibodies in it. Everytime I leaked or breast fed I would smear the milk around.
That works?? @kejs0911 I'm a ftm dreading the nipple toughening process lol
@mbmccrory, I don't remember, but use your milk to heal the cracks, etc. It has antibodies in it. Its alos better than the nipple creams for baby. Good tip is to take a good scrubby pouf or rag and scrub them everytime you get in the shower. That will help to toughen them up. A bit painful at first, though. I've already started this go around. Lol.
Yea my right is already bleeding! Guess it's just a new pain to get used to! Lol @mommyhammond2016
really? I was told by drs while I'm breastfeeding to not use soap on my boobs because they naturally cleanse there self
