it's 11:37 here. would you file a noise complaint if you had small children (toddler and newborn) and some people the next street over (their yard is visible from my bedroom window) was throwing a party so loud you can hear it in your bedroom? I honestly don't want to ruin someone's special night or whatever the party is for, but this momma is running on maybe 2 hours of sleep and tonight I have a chance to catch up and rest and i want to do just that....

yes. At nearly 12 am they should be able to still enjoy the rest of their party without disturbing the peace

I would because here you can call the cops for anything like that after 9.

Does your town have a noise policy? Because here if your really loud after 12 is when you can get in trouble, if they are being just rudely loud I'd call

try been in New York around holidays it's a party freaked till like 4-5am. I made complains to 311 and called the cops but nothing has been done. it's past midnight in NY and the loud music still goes on. I have a 28 and 8 month old children who are still up bc they can't sleep either bc of the loud noise that's going on outside.
ppl hanging out, drinking dancing & they don't care about other ppl.

@sammy_riley2016, we do have a policy. I called and they just turned it down so I think the cops showed up. but my neighbors were just yelling at them too. like you could feel the bass through my floor....I have a 2 week old son and an autistic 2 year old....the neighbors who live directly behind these people have 4 children under the age of 7 and the husband expressed how upset they were 2 hours ago. My complex consists of small families with little kids, disabled and elderly people....

You made a good call. People don't respect others. And well young babies you can't have loud ass music playing it's just rude. Good job glad the cops did their job
