Alright ladies. I'm having some serious anxiety over here. I'm so confused. How can bloodwork and a sono (top picture here) show girl. Then go back 3 weeks later for a repeat anatomy scan and get a surprise, boy!! (Bottom picture) I just don't understand how it can clearly show girl, like where was his little wiener if it was a boy?! Hahaha
I keep having thoughts and dreams that this is a sign and there are twins. Is that possible?! Like wouldn't they have realized there were two by now? One twin couldn't hide that long, could it? That doesn't happen, right?! 😂
****Harmony test was done at 11w3d.
First sono said girl at 19w4d
Second sono said boy at 22w3d

It's possibl but unlikely. It could've been tucked away or maybe just hard to see that early. How far were you on each scan?

All babies start out female "technically". That is until the Y chromosome comes in and enlarges what would be a clitoris into a penis. How many weeks were you when they said girl?

From what I was told boy parts are supposed to look like a "turtle" and girl parts look like a "hamburger" - that's what the sono tech said. The bottom for sure looks like boy but I can't really tell the top one. How far apart were they done at how many weeks? Because I know that sometimes that's why they wait longer to get the gender bc they look the same until after 13 weeks.

Yeah usually 17 weeks or less is not advised for gender reveals! It's like a 50 50 chance!

19 weeks I was told girl. And 22 weeks boy. And the bloodwork (Harmony test) told us girl at 13 weeks. We waited til our anatomy scan and it said girl. So we thought girl. Then surprise!

@carolinagirl94, which is why we waited til after 19 weeks to say anything to family/friends! Then we have to be like "oops, just kidding!"

Guess I'm mad I paid for the Harmony test and it was wrong! My doctors office said im the first they have ever seen give the wrong gender result!! 😂. 0.01% chance.

you have to have a special kind of blood test to determine twins and you've been to sono twice they would have found them by now I think it was to early to tell and they messed up

Not too early to tell for gender with the blood test done @mommycheeks, it was the Harmony test that is a blood draw between 10 and 13 weeks. I was 11 1/2 when it was done. I should also mention, they did sonos at 6 and 7 weeks because they saw 2 sacs. But 9 weeks, they thought there was only one. So all the more reason to be confused...

oh I would know why your confused I would be also because a ob should know you can't do the harmony test on twins it would not be accurate you have to have a specialty blood test done with a first trimester ultrasound I don't understand why they would give a harmony test on multiples if they saw two sacs@ashleyjayne216
