What u ladies think about buying barely used like once or twice toddler carseat???? I want to buy…

If its from someone you know and trust I think that should be fine. I wouldn't buy a used car seat from a stranger because one accident makes the car seat a hazard. And some people are dishonest.

that's completely fine! just make sure u have some time before it expires, like a year or 2

Check the side of the seat for a manufacture date. Car seats are good for up to 6yrs. If it's good then it should be fine for occasional use.

One of my moms friends gave us her car seat for free. Saves us money!

@missjess, my gf did give me a carrier with a care base and it was in very very good shape and it looked new.... for my baby coming.... I need one for toddler for grandma and I think I'm going to get a new one

Nothing wrong with used as long as it hasn't been in an accident!!!

we bought an extra seat to keep at the cabin in case I want to take the train out. it was $45 new at walmart compared to the nearly $250 we spent on his daily use seat. I just like knowing the seat has not been in accidents or mishandled

Yeah it's true but if you go to a second hand shop you should be okay

mind you this is a toddler seat. it can be rear or forward facing but it doesn't have a lot of fancy features like our normal one. it does the trick if I don't want to haul a huge seat on a train without compromising safety :)
