When my hubby and I made it official last year (we're middle school sweethearts but went different paths as adults) he had a really cool pair of ray bans. Lol he lost them that summer and was really sad about it. We got pregnant and moved etc and he prioritized us over his wants. (ugh I love this man) I want to surprise him with a new pair but I don't make any of my "own money". We share a bank account and discuss our purchases beforehand etc but I feel like we're in a good place financially and money comes and goes you know? Has anyone ever done that before? Use "his money" to buy your hubby/so a gift? Lol

yes me and my hubby share money he is in the marines and I surprise him when I can like right now he's gone I buy him gifts .I sent him packages during deployment . and he had no idea what I bought till it came to him . I can't spoil my hubby while he's around because it doesn't feel the same and he don't like getting stuff for himself lol @mamamoonbaby

It'd be a great father's day gift for him and I'm sure he'd love it. Good luck with it. @mamamoonbaby

@lost041, sounds like a good compromise you have going there. :) I really like that idea of taking him to the store but he's really so selfless he might decline the offer. Stubborn Taurus. I'm thinking of waiting until Father's Day 😍

I'm currently a stay at home mom and when I tell my SO that I need money cause I would like to surprise him or our children with something he asks how much and hands it over as long as we have it. He should b understanding that u would like to get him something from u. But I definitely agree with @arivera64 take him to the store and tell him ud like to get them for him since u know how upset he was when he lost them he should b ecstatic with the thought.

@itsababyboy16, cool if I end up surprising him he'll probably be like "babe why'd you take out $200?" Lol I'd have a fit!

@arivera64, oh wow yeah that seems really sweet actually. I'll see if there's a local store that sells them! Thanks :)

Maybe just take him to the spot to buy them and tell him there that you want him to pick a pair and the reason why.....i think it will still be special

@emeliaday, great idea but unfortunately no! We've moved so many times and purged and sold a lot. I'm a dog walker/pet sitter but I'm due any day now so I haven't been able to work. Ah!

@nygirl3rdbabymiami, okay that's good that you believe that. Why are you saying sorry?

Do you have anything laying around the house that you don't need anymore that you could sell for cash- could be one way to circumvent the situation. I sold an old designer purse for $75 on a swap n shop Facebook page. Just a thought
