The weekend before I got induced seemed to be never ending! I went in at 9am on Monday and he was born at 1118 that night. That was the longest day, especially once I got my epidural and couldn't get out of bed! It wasn't as bad as some friends made me think it would be.
they gave me pitocin. but I have a genetic problem where my cervix doesn't dilate properly and because I was in such hard labor and was only 3cm dilated for 10 hrs it put the baby in distress and I had to have a c-section. we didn't know I had that problem until about 7 hours passed and I had only progressed half a centimeter. turns out my mom had the same problem. But its not something that happens very often. I will tell you this, wait as long as you can before having your water broken UNLESS you are going to get the epidural. Contractions are so much worse after your water breaks :( lol
It was 14 hours from the time they started, but labor didn't really start until about two hours in. They put a pill in to soften my cervix and then an hour later I got Pitocin and then about an hour after that labor started. I ended up getting a c section because I went from 0 to 3.5 by 2:30, then didn't progress anymore by the time we opted for a c section that night. So, about 12 hours. But it wasn't like any labor I had ever heard about before. My contractions weren't overly painful. I didn't know I was "in labor" until the nurse informed me that I was in fact.

oh I was the same way haha. I didn't sleep the night before my induction and literally counted the hours lol

It's a long process, but it honestly wasn't bad. Just bring stuff to the hospital to occupy you in case it's slow like mine was!
