as hard as it will be, don't do it for a day or 2, then they usually realize " hey she does a lot around here" and they start appreciating you... I did that and now every day my husband says "the house looks great" or " hey let me put that laundry away for you" and always compliments dinner because he knows how expensive it is to eat out all the time

well that stinks... I flipped out in one of my exs cuz he expected me to do everything (I was bartending and he was home all day everyday after being laid off) so finally I looked him in the eye and said "do I have Cinderella tattooed across my damn forehead???!! no? well that's absolutely freaking shocking to me since that's how I seem to be treated by you"
