@kelseys, i just switched ob and she hasnt even called me... i told her what happened at labor and delivery.. the staff and l&d said it was urgent she see me today and i never got a call back.. all im taking is Tylenol like they said in emergencies...
they can't give you anything stronger for the pain? because when I had my attack Tylenol didn't help at all, until L&D gave me some crazy pain meds. Google/YouTube some remedies for gallbladder attacks, its really helpful especially since you can't take stronger meds. apple juice helped me a lot.
are you serious?! I found out I had gallstones right before I found out I was pregnant, and they told me that they will only do surgery during the second trimester, or I'd have to wait till I have the baby(that's the rule anywhere) so I had it removed exactly on 20weeks when I had an attack. ask to talk to a gastroenterologist, they specialize in the gallbladder and surgery and can give you more info than your OB can.
ask for a stronger pain med. they gave me some kind of Oxy/Narcotic after my surgery but I didn't take them. but they also gave me a bunch of morphine in L&D when I had the attack. if you can't handle the pain or start to get other symptoms like throwing up( especially if your throw up is green), nausea, fatigue, numbness anywhere or anything else go back to the hospital.
