Don't give me shit for this. Am I the only one who honestly can't picture myself being a mom? I love her so so much but I can't imagine myself like being a parent. I'm not sure if it's just because kids were never really something I had had in mind before we got pregnant or what but I can't picture it for the life of me. And honestly, it scares the hell out of me, like what if it's a sign something bad is going to happen you know? It's almost like I have a guard up; I'm so terrified something is going to happen that I can't even let myself enjoy my pregnancy as much as I would like. It makes me feel like a terrible person. I'm just so afraid and I love her so much. It kills me.

you shouldn't worry! I had the same thoughts when I was pregnant. I really don't like kids and while I was pregnant I was so scared I wouldn't have that bond with my baby and be a good mom but no matter what it is inevitable! as soon as I saw him all instincts and emotions kicked in and it was like it was perfectly meant to be!

@ninadavis I'm not good with babies either lol! It's not that I don't like them...I'm just awkward around them. I've never been around many kids so I never really know what to do or say and I can't hold other people's babies because I get too anxious. I just never saw myself as a mom you know? And so it makes me worried that if I can't picture it now, maybe it's a sign something bad will happen. :( I had a dream last night actually that I gave birth and she was perfectly healthy but for some reason I don't think I ever even picked her up...it was weird.

I've heard that if you already worry about your kid or how you will be as a parent, you will be a great parent!!! So don't you worry or stress that no one ever knows how to be a mother to their 1st child, not even if they "were" ready for a kid. We all learn once we have them. So you're good!

@katarama, I felt the same. I didn't even know how to change a diaper. It honestly will all come natural to you once you hold your baby for the first time.
