Good and bad news today. My cervical length went from a 2.1 to a 2.7! which means no surgery!! yay! BUT they found a cyst on baby B brain. They said it could be nothing but could be something. A lot of optomism since my quad screen already came back negative 2 months ago and they only see it on one baby and not both. Doc said its a good chance it will dissolve on its own but we did DNA blood panel today to check for extra chromosomes. So there is still a chance of down syndrome or trisomy 18. Hopefully it comes back negative. Has any other mommies had this with their babies? Im going to be such a wreck until my blood comes back which could be 7-10 days :(

hugs....my first trimester screening came back with possibility of 13 or 18. Waiting for an appt for further testing. I hope all turns out fine with your baby! You'll be in my thoughts

My babygirl had it, went to the high risk doctor today and they said its gone! I denied all the testing even knowing she had the cyst. I'm going to love her no matter if she has the extra chromosome so I didn't want to be stressing about it the whole time for the rest of my pregnancy. They said it is very normal in healthy babies and told me not to worry! My babygirl also has too much fluid building up on her brain so that's all they are watching now :)

Elliot had a white spot in his heart at 22 weeks, the high risk Dr said it could mean a chromosomal abnormality but since we had the genetic testing done and everything came back negative it wasn't likely. My regular ob said that it's a weak marker for down syndrome, but since he had no other indicators it wasn't likely he would be born with it. I was admitted at 32 weeks for contractions and they did an ultrasound and the spot was gone! They could see where it had been, but it wasn't there anymore. I know that that's different than the brain, but I thought I'd share my story about the similar experience. I was so panicked after that appointment.

that is great news! @babyelkins2016 Im hoping for the same results since this entire pregnancy has been high risk with my twins! Doctor seems optimistic so im trying to be as well. The down syndrome doesn't bother me as much since IV worked with people of disabilities for 4 years before switching my career. The trisomy 18 is what scares me because that abnormality usually results in still birth or death shortly after birth. Hope all is well with your baby during the rest of the pregnancy! @tarateller2010 and @myrandab22 thank you
