so my mom and aunt want to throw a coming home/baby shower party for me when I come home in July. I'll be 3 months by then. do you think that's too early. need I remind yall I don't know when the next time I'll be able to take leave because Christmas leave is around when baby is due so that'd be too late
I went into labor at 36 weeks too. 11 days after my second baby shower. So you do it when you can and not care what anyone else thinks.
@maybabyboy, @canaryv @isabellesmomma212 that's what I told my mom and aunt because their throwing it for us. plus with the Army leave is so rare around here. and by time block leave comes up baby will be due. plus this is my mommas first grandchild and she's extremely excited to finally be seeing me after basically a year and a half and grand baby
no, do it when you can if it's the only time you can come home. I went home at 19 weeks for a shower, and people still told me that was too soon. who cares?? there is no exact time you can or can't have a shower. I had my other shower where I live now at 1 day less than 36 weeks, and I went into labor 3 days later, so it was almost too late. people need to stop worrying about what you do lol.
I don't think it's to early. If you don't know the gender by then, just do a gender neutral theme. Like rubber ducky's or something along those lines.
@mommyof12016640, well I won't be able to go back home any time soon after July. only allowed so much leave time. I'll be 11+ weeks at my first ultrasound. kind of hoping baby shows just a little
I understand, might as well get it in where it fits in :) gender neutral and if you have a favorite color you feel like is neutral then they could aim for that color for the bigger products :) like my fav colors are gray and yellow so my gender reveal party is gray and yellow not pink and blue
