So recently someone shared an article where researchers found that swaddled babies have a higher chance of SIDS than babies who aren't swaddled. I can't remember who posted the article, but it was a few of you and it's been a week or two so of course I won't be able to find it.
My question is, is it just talking about babies who are put in the swaddler blankets/sacks that they have now, or is it all swaddling, including how to they teach you to do at the hospital?? All the pictures were of babies in the swaddler blankets if I recall correctly, but I'm just wondering.
Just being overly paranoid here, don't you mind me a bit.

My nurses recommended swaddling in the halo sacks I did it it helps them stay on their back

Yea if i remember correctly it was talking about swaddled babies that are layed on their stomachs.. but honestly that would be called suffocation..

I read that and it also talked about babies that are swaddle can have hip problems for the rest of their lives. I think it only applies to the swaddling blankets because babies have more room in the sleep sacks. And it didn't matter how you laid them by the way. Back or stomach. That's what I remember reading. But don't worry to much momma. They have a long list of things that can cause SIDS and it's quite ridiculous because when a baby sadly passes away from it, they usually don't have a cause.

@theinkedmommy oh wow, seriously? that's fucking stupid. that makes me feel a little better though because the hospital we're registered at makes You keep your baby swaddled while you're at the hospital and I was getting nervous.
