My home girl just told me that when u hit 30 weeks its a steroid shot they can give you to speed up the maturity of the baby lungs...The only thing is u gotta stay in the hospital for 12-24hrs for observation, She also when they do sonograms them doctors can tell if the baby lungs are ready I'm not playing no more I hit 9 months June 3rd I'm gonna. start complaining because I literally can't do anything I can't even stand for 5 minutes I had to prepare dinner last night sitting down. And I made BBQ spare ribs and macaroni salad

not saying about when you have had your children just posting that they changed the standards recently because of the lung development @coko they used to say 37 weeks now it's 39 weeks... only you and your ob know your circumstances however the guideline is now 39 weeks

Yes it's a series of two shots they give but it has to be within 24 or 48 hours I can't remember but they only gave it to me because I was in active labor and dilated to a 5 at 30 weeks and they stopped it so they could help her lungs develop with my first daughter
